Today, Tomorrow & Every Day After

Posted On Friday, February 19, 2010 |

People with a conscience are outraged by stories like the one above . . . outrage that is exacerbated by the fact that Newfoundland and Labrador's antiquated Animal Protection Act allows perpetrators of neglect and abuse to walk away with little more than a slap on the wrist ($50 to $200 for a first or second offence with a maximum of $500 for a third).

It's time to accept our share of the responsibility for all of the pain, all of the horrors, that are inflicted on the innocent who cry out to us. Oh yes, we're outraged! Good for us. But what good is that to them?

It's not enough to be outraged. It's simply not.

Every one of us who sits back and allows things like this to happen is part of the problem. Every one of us who doesn't stand up and speak out loudly is part of the problem. Every one of us who doesn't demand change is part of the problem.

Are you ready to step up to the plate--today, tomorrow, and every day after--and give a voice to the voiceless? Great! Here's the Action List.

THANK YOU!
