TORONTO - A Tory MPP is calling for an independent investigation into a York Region animal shelter's handling of a ringworm outbreak. "They've got serious work to do to re-establish their credibility," Newmarket-Aurora MPP Frank Klees said Thursday. "The only way that they're going to do that is to stop trying to justify what they did, stop making excuses, accept responsibility and get on with an independent, in-depth investigation that results in specific recommendations to assure the public that this won't happen again."
