Boy, 8, Accused Of Killing More Pets

Posted On Friday, July 30, 2010 |

A central Newfoundland man says an eight-year-old boy, who admitted last month to RCMP that he beat a neighbour's dog to death with a barbeque fork, has killed more animals.

Corey Hodder, of Stoneville, found several of the chickens and ducks he keeps as family pets bludgeoned to death Tuesday.

"They got in my shed and there were shovels, a snow shovel, prongs, rakes, a sledgehammer and a level. Everything that was in my shed that they could get their hands on to throw at the birds — that's what they done," Hodder told CBC News Wednesday.

What the hell is wrong with the parents first of all not to mention law enforcement? I would start by kicking his a$$ then send his a$$ for some serious help. This is satans spawn for sure. This piece of crap needs to feel some serious pain like those poor animals. You're damn lucky Im not there.

Because of his age, the law can't touch him. He's a "young offender." But I agree, Lorie, this child definitely needs some help. The first thing that has to be determined is whether or not there's something happening to him at home that may be causing this behavior. Perhaps he himself is being abused. The tragedy within this tragedy is that apparently nothing has been done since the first incident. And that's just NOT good enough! IMHO, the residents of Stoneville should demand that this boy be removed from the community ASAP and assessed to determine what further action needs to be taken.
