A fully loaded truck with 520 dogs bound for meat markets was surrounded and intercepted at the Beijing-Haerbin Expressway April 16. The suffering of the dogs was heartwrenching. Many of the dogs had open wounds and/or serious health problems. Dehydration was widespread, and some dogs had already died.
