. . . in Canada, there are approximately 3.5 million dogs and 4.5 million cats. That means there are a lot of families that have additions, and lot of animals that depend on those families. It’s the duty of a society to protect these special creatures when they can’t protest themselves, and report any perceived mistreatment of animals to the proper authorities.
